Mine are 16 weeks into flowering. Looking so close to being ready but trichs are milky and have been for a little over 2 weeks now. Can they take longer to start to change to amber on Sativas? Mine are 50% sativa and 50% indicas so I do want to wait til they get 30% amber. Buds are filled out nicely and growing under 400 watt hps.

i haven't grown any pure sativa's, but i did have a nl#5 that acted like this, trics took forever to turn
from my limited experience, you are getting tric changes, they're probably on the subtle side
at 11 weeks i got some very heady stuff, revegged, cloned and regrew a 2nd time out to 12 weeks, much less heady
trics didn't look that much different, but that extra week made a huge difference

I wouldn't wait to long for amber... Mostly cloudy is ideal for harvesting most strains. cut you a lower bud and quick dry and smoke it. Ignore the flavor and focus on the buzz. If you like it, chop.

Like Serapis said, I would harvest also. Mostly milky is good, amber is when they are degrading.

I cut a piece last week and quick dried. It's not strong enough. I don't get it. The buds are filled out so nicely. The strain is from white widow, ice and good bag seed all combined together. It should be way stronger by now. Oh that sucks. It smells and taste really good i just want it to be stronger. Not sure what to do. If I cut now,the high will mostly be a head high is that correct? If i wait til they start to turn amber, won't it be the head and body high? lol
