Can you go back to 12 12 after 72 hour dark period?

Can you go back to 12 12 after 72 hour dark period? I have two plants that have been flowering for 65+ days and I put them in 72 hours (now) of darkness. After looking at the trichomes on both, one still has mostly clear, and the second is mostly milky but hardly any amber. All the stigmas have turnned from white to ornge. Also the scent seems to be getting crazy more potent. This was my first grow and I have no idea what the strain is but it seems to be taking forever the tri's to turn. I am still giving it water too because it is only weeping a little. Any suggestions to get the most THC out of it, like "harvest now" or "try 6/18", I dont care to try. I just dont want it to be a total loose. or a trick for curing that might fix this?

Harvest the milky one whole (cut at base) for a long dry. Put the other one back into 12/12.

It depends on what the patient is utilizing marijuana for! If for pain relief, then the more amber the better. If you don't know it is personal taste/opinion/usage, then you need to do a lot more reading.

I am with Brimck325, let him decide what HE wants!
