can you grow autos outdoors?

I was just curious most autos need to 18 to 20 hours of light. I was wanting to know if you can still grow autos outdoors or are they just for indoors? I know sunlight is best for plants but what if you only get about 12 0r 13 hours of good sunlight?

Yes, you absolutely CAN grow autos outdoors.

They don't "need" 18-20 hours of light, they just grow best with that much light.

Outdoors, they won't get so much light, and they won't grow quite as big as indoors under constant light, but they can still do well.
