I realize ultimately I may just have to "wait and see"...however...the wait is SO LONG! LOL I understand (correct me if I'm wrong) but Sativas take longer than Indicas to mature? Can anyone tell by the pics what strain I have? I put shots from a couple weeds ago and shots today. Seeds given to me by a friend - Im sure I'm fortunate to have gotten this far :-?

peace to you! DPhoto01211255.jpgPhoto01181913.jpgPhoto01211253.jpgPhoto01151848.jpg

Indica domiante but not by much percentage wise. It would be extremely difficult nearing to impossivle to determine actual strain from pictures alone. The first picture leads me to believe that there is some c. afghanica influence.

ok first off indica or sativa is i believe the genus? anyway def. not the strain..those are two different things, a strain is like bubblegum or white widow....second to determine sativa or indica you should have added farther away pics of whole large fan leaves as thats the easiest way to tell...finger like leaves are sativas and nice broad leaves are indicas although most strains are hybrids and you can only use this method to tell what has more of an influence....i agree though looks more indica from what i see

first pic looks indica, second looks to be sativa. is that the same plant?

Well ya caught me! LOL there are in fact 13...so i made sure you saw what i had been suspecting...i have a mix? I appreciate the advise on characteristics tho, it helps me to "sorta" know what i'm growing! This is my first round, lord knows what my friend put in his treat bag for me, but i'm using this as my learning phase!

peace to you! D

peace to you! D

yes in general sativas will take a bit longer to flower..around 8 weeks into flowering and as long as 12ish weeks for sativas, start watching for signs such as your buds will plump up, you will start to see captate stalked trichs extend so basically when you see some of your trichs grow much longer than the rest, some plants may naturally change color at this time as well, and so with these examples plus making sure your trichs have turned a nice cloudy white color, you can safely make an assumption of if your plants are within the harvest window! you will get a feel for it..they will start to smell ripe and just look..well..done
