hi can you use ozone generators with an airstone in the res of a recirculating system to stop root disease?

Yes you can with some caveats You're going to have to dial it in. It will eat plastic and erode gaskets. There are many hydroponic uses for ozone that is in use in many commercial grows now often times they will use a Venturi in a bypass or pump and suck ozone from an ozone generator and inject it into the reservoir whether it's a stock tank for eliminating bacterial growth or a recirculating reservoir.

I find h2o2 best practise, or raw household bleach I’ve used in the past. I think they call it chlorox in the us

Ozone should be perfectly fine in the res. Just make sure you don't allow it to build up in the grow room in any concentration. Ozone will kill your plants if it builds up in a sealed room.

I’ve found ph to fluctuate a lot more when using it in a res. How did you get around this? I would rather use an o3gen than h2o2 if it means I can set it and forget it.

I use a Venturi and pump and pull ozone from an ozone genny

Is this your irrigation pump? So you’re ozonating the water as it is pumped to the plants? Orrr is it just a circulating pump in your res.

I’ve always used massively oversized Rez’s where possible, can get 3-4 weeks out of a fresh batch. After 3-4 weeks ph is at about 6.4 and I dump the res and start again. In one of my old spots I used the same technique u describe but on a circulating pump within the res, set to come on for 15 mins every 2 hours. After 2 weeks my ph was 6.5 and I ditched the res and the o3 and just continued with h2o2.
Have you never see premature rising of the ph while using this set up?

I last used my o3gen for ozonating water that I foliar spray or bath roots of plants that go in or ontop of my aquarium.

I was feeding drip to waste. Used a submersible pump to distribute O3 it had a riser and a Venturi on it that recirculated the feed stock. It was not the delivery pump.

Yeah drip to waste won’t see the same problems as my recirculating drip system. Thanks for clearing that up for me mate. I was scratching my head wondering how it worked for u and not me lol

I would be a little worried about sending micro bubbles of of O3 down my feed tubing. You could setup a standalone recirc pump and bypass to inject O3 for an hour per day during a long stretch of no feed time. This would allow it to dissipate and might have much less water issues
