What would happen if you jusgtvaped a dehydrated fan leaf from a small but smelly plant. Not a sugar leaf.

How about a sugar lead (lol).

Would one leaf be enough to get a light high from? or at least a buzz since its being vaped?

Oh and does it matter if you usea dehydrator at like 85F or something to speed up the dehydration without overheating it too much? I mean if the bud is grown in 95F day temps why would it go bad in a dehydrator at that temp with constant air flow? Esp since you arnet smoking it or eating it, just vaping the thc and other cannabinoids.

I'm interested in the answer to this question, too! I suck at making hash, I'm not sure I want to get into edibles with canna-butter, but I have a ton of trim that was trich-heavy plus some lower third fluff.

I know that pros don't like the leaves because they can be harsh. But if we're vaping and just taking the trichs off, perhaps it doesn't matter.

And in the end, I'm going to have to try it to find out, though I would like opinions. In the Cannabis Grow Bible there's a section on harvest, and it suggests growers can get four "grades" of smoke -- fan leaves, first trim and fluff, sugar trim from the tight manicure, and buds. And it suggests growers try all of it to see what works for them. I didn't save the big fan leaves that had no trichs on them, but I did save first trim, second trim and the buds, so I really have three "grades" of smoke.

My trim has been in my freezer since January. I've taken it out, spread it out on paper towels to defrost and start drying. I'm going to try to jar it at about 60% humidity, and work it the same way I worked the bud and see what happens!

If it works fine with vaping (and I mostly vape anyway) I won't be thinking of it as garbage anymore!

Please post back here if you do try it with thedifferent trim parts and let me know how it works out. I am very curious because that would make the plant have soooo much more matter that is usable which would not only save bud and sugar leaves, but would save all the leaves and stmes people think are crap.

I just read in another thread that someone was talking about moving to a vaporizer, and one of the reason he loves it is that he doesn't have to worry about making hash anymore with trim. He just adds it to the bud he's grinding up.

I wouldn't use the biggest fan leaves, which don't have visible trichs on them, or stems and branches. But I'd use everything else if vaping makes it easy and pleasant to do.

I'll come back and post next weekend. By then my trim will have slow-dried for a week and I'll be willing to try it.

You can use it all in a vaporizer because it isn't burning the plant material- only the trichomes vaporize... so you can use ANYTHING that has ANY crystal on it-- look at it under a magnifier- especially near the stem.. I there are ANY glans- you can vaape it- you'll just need more of it!

Doesn't have to be dry-- or can be over-dry-- doesn't matter-- it isn't the same as smoking... vaping really maxes-out your ability to make use of more of the plant!

That's what I thought. Awesome! BTW are sugar leaves only formed in the flowering stage? and do fan leaves like the first bunch have no trichs at all

I disagree. I once had a plant that was growing and I started picking off buds and sampling them with a vaporizor. Before long I had vaped a good part of the plant. The problem is when buds and leaves are not dried and cured properly you're vaping raw chrlorophyl which after a while can irritate your throat and lungs. I started producing flem and my throat was really scratchy. Buds/leaves should be dried and cured properly so that the chlorophyl is broken down before use IMO.

Depends on your tolerance level. If you've been smoking/vaping killer buds and then you go and try and get high off fan leaves and stems it may not influence you.
If you have been totally sober for a couple of months and you vape some stems and leaves you may get a little buzzed. The thc content would be low however. Probably none in the stems and just a little in the leaves. Like I said before though, I would dry and cure anything you smoke or vape. Smoking or vaping chlorophyl that hasn't been broken down isn't a good thing to do IMO.

You don't want to smoke leaf, it's hard on your lungs and throat. And it's not any good to smoke for the most part.

Sugar leaf, dry it out, so it crumbles easy, then run it through a screen (1/32 on an inch or less)

Then run it over a ladies nylon stocking.

Fan leaf, you can make oil out of to do dabs with. Of course if you use bud rather then leaf it makes better oil.

As far as vaping goes, it's better then combusting. But your best high comes from what I call igniting.

I only make oil with Everclear/grain alcahol "no butane"

I just went to a website called volcanotips.com -- he has a whole "workflow" for dealing with vaped material!

1) Vape until the taste starts to change
2) Take that "volcano poo" and make canna butter from it
3) Take the leaf matter from the canna butter and throw it into an oatmeal cookie recipe

NOTHING wasted. It's worth a try...

U can vape sugar leafs and stuff, but ya just make hash, also with ur after vape weed make cannabutter

I made some cannabutter with my vaped weed. 10grams. Considering it was already used up in the vape...the edibles came out decently potent. 3-4g's needed for a dose. I'm starting to use my Vape again because of the whole nothing wasted aspect, and plus...my lungs need a break. Not to mention it saves weed and gets me the highest.

When you say 3-4 grams for a dose do you mean of edibles or of butter? Like did your ten grams of vaped weed canna butter make 3servings?

Yes. I would say more like 2 high dose servings actually. I have a pretty high tolerance though so it could be more.
