Canadian Winter is coming and I've got 3 weeks left.... groan....

This is a single plant that I inserted with one windowsill seedling started in March..... I'm in Western Canada so our outside growing season is somewhat short.
We've already experienced a few minor frosts thus far and my tomatos have been picked already which got me thinking about what to do with my buds.... fearing losing them before harvest which is predicted in 3 to 4 weeks..... I built a cold frame around the whole plant using scrap wood and triple layered poly.....only cost me an hour of my time....BTW by triple wrapping the poly, it difuses any seen detail of what it actually is.... it's just a blur from the outside yet it still lets the sun light through.

Yes...perhaps it looks more obvious now all shrouded however only the old lady next door can see them from her kitchen window....and all she wants is to have one of the plums when they finish.....;)

This is actually my first plant I've grown with any significance.... really a fluke too, but I will try my best to out smart old man Winter...!!

Get one of those little ocilating fans that have a heat coil attached. They are cheap and will give just enuf heat night. Un plug during the day. I think this would work perfectly.

if you have no way for fresh air to circulate through you're starving it for oxygen and the humidity will build up too high and the plant can't transpire.
