Legal proceedings continue in court Sept. 5 for pre-trial arguments against two Kenora residents, who are accused of selling marijuana illegally. Jaye Wesley, 48, along with 66-year-old Roderick Allison were charged following an investigation last May.

Police say that on May 10 officers with the Provincial Joint Forces Cannabis Enforcement Team, the North West Region Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, and the Kenora OPP executed a search warrant at Winnipeg River Naturals on Highway 17E.

As a result, police seized a number of cannabis-based edibles, which are still considered illegal by the federal government, non-edibles, cannabis oils, cannabis plants in various stages, computers, financial records, and an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency.
