Well i harvest one of my plants early cuz of bud rot and i was using it for seeds. The seeds are hard to the squeeze but they are pale in color looking more of a tan. I see people say they have to be dark grey for them to germinate is this true?

Many of them may still sprout, especially if they are nice and firm. It is usually best to leave them to darken, as that helps the shell harden even further and protects them more, but you should definitely give them a try.

Yea I got some seeds from a couple different companies and were real light colors and sprouted.

You want them ideally ripe and ready yes one thing to note is just like the markings or sometimes the lack of them on seeds they vary in colour a bit because of genetics as well some stuff is naturally darker or lighter it just depends let them dry out a few weeks before trying to germ any of em too
