Hello!
I just made my first batch of infused olive oil for my father. i wanted to make some really good stuff as he just had a heart attack and cut way back on smoking and everything. Anyways i made it and then i strained it through a coffee filter because, for pops, only the best right? Well i was left with a pile of guck, almost threw it away. However i rang it out and it looked just like hash. I am pretty sure it was all of the trichomes and whatnot so i scraped it and mixed it back in lol. My thought process was to get all the shit out of the oil but i think that using a coffee filter would effectively filter out everything that gets you high and leave me with weed tasting oil that probably has some health benefits but doesn't get you high...
Mine is also a very very dark green and looks almost black. Everything online shows that it's a nice golden just like it was in the bottle maybe a little darker. Is this right?
The question is - can i use a coffee filter to filter the oil or would it ruin everything?
