I’m looking for a cheap replacement for Cannazym. What are the commercial growers using to break down dead roots in coco during veg/flo? I can’t seem to find the exact ingredients.

not a commercial grower, but i just came across this while researching the same question. RAW Enzymes may be what you want. Not necessarily cheap upfront but the dosage is .3-.6g/gal. also, i found out if you run bennies in your res then enzymes arent needed.

I use Hygrozyme at 6 ml / gallon. Regardless of price it is the best product. I don't concern myself with price of nutrients and additives when growing a thousand dollar plant.

Let's be honest.. roots will break down on their own.
Will these products help speed that up..
Probably.

Is it needed? Absolutely not.

I have a bottle kicking about and use it if I'm recycling coco .
But having recycled it for years if it's left in , say a bin liner it all breaks down on its own anyway.

So if its about saving some money, just stop using it.
