Cannibis Clones

I've recently cut some clones off my plant that is currently in day 40. I'm just wondering.. what will happen to this mother clone? I took 6 cuttings from it.

And also, I have the clones outside in a shady area, I live in Florida where the temperature is regularly around 90° and the humidity around 80% and 90% at night is this okay for these clones to survive? I could only find information about putting them in a humidity... box.. thing with lights until they develop roots. however i do not have these items lol. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Its worth a try. They will love it at night and in the mornings but for the first week they should be misted twice during the day or they'll dry up on you.

Indoors not an option?

Not very expensive at all and it takes hardly any space. I clone using simply soil, a CFL and misting twice a day for the first week. They all root within 2 weeks. Simple, easy and CHEAP. No humidity dome, no heat pad(unless it gets cold), no pellets/rockwool none of that. I do use a rooting hormone (Shultz TakeRoot) its a powder, but i'm sure its not needed, probably speeds things up a bit though.

As long as you keep the soil moist and the cuts from drying out you will have roots in 2 weeks tops.

Also, keep the CFL at least a foot away. You don't want the cut to try and grow without roots, just need enough light to maintain life.

the plant should grow a stem on eitehr side of where you took the cutting from, so as long as you are doing it slow and allowing the plant to recover, taking clones is actually goign to increase your yeild...just like pruning a fruit tree. You will however want to put it back on veg light cycle until the plant gets to be as bushy as you want it to, probably another month or more, just for it to get some good "growth" to it before putting it into flowering, that way your yeild will be higher. Just remember to keep your lights really close so the plant doesn't stetch.

I mist our clones 3 times a day, and the first set of clones i took had roots grown out of the peat puck and out of the soil in about a week. There were a couple that took a little longer but thats typical.

Thanks for checkin out our grow, hopefully you keep checkin in, I'm subscribed to yours! so keep me updated lol i need some good reading materials!

Took clones from a plant 40 days into flowering? Go ahead and read this: http://www.420magazine.com/forums/seeds-clones-strains/56864-what-flowering-clone.html

The mother will likely yield less because she was already pretty far into flowering, but I wouldn't worry about it too much. Hopefully you didn't cut where the colas were going to form.

thanks for posting that link, it was very usefull. I haven't had a problem with my mothers yet as i have been taking clones from the bottom smaller branches.

Dont worry about droppy clones, keep em wet and they'll bounce back when they begin to root. I also like to mist mine with 1/4 str nutrient solution twice/day, they really like it.

Same with your mother plant, I prefer to take 2-4 at a time, but if she's good and healthy 6 will do fine. Leave her alone for a couple/three weeks before you decide to cut anymore. Also, when you go to flower, take off the lower nodes and use the best cuttings for more clones.

i don't know about misting them with nutes, i've never tried it though either, i'm to skeptical about it i guess. just plain ol'h2o for my babies. Your mother plant will bounce back, after all, plants survive evolution everyday.

at this point it looks like 2 of them are probably done but the other 4 look pretty good. heres some pix
you need humidity domes on them, this will help them to develop roots faster. use another plastic cup, this time clear, and cut a hole in the bottom, turn it upsidedowna dn put it on top of the cup you are using as the pot.
