I currently just upgraded my tent to a 2ftx4ftx5tall tent. I have a collection of small/cheap LED lights. One from previous grows about 2-3 years ago and a couple different newer ones I bought trying stuff out. Illuminator 100watt (85 actual draw), a galaxy hydro 180w (pulls like 90 actual), and a Kessil 350m (pulls 60w). I am looking at all these LED threads and seeing I am just not pulling enough actual wattage, not to mention I am beginning to understand that in order to get increased efficiency out of LED they are gonna have to be the new stuff.
I have looked at alot of guides but am still kind of overwhelmed by all the info on cree COB etc. Can someone help me plan an appropriate fixture for my space? I would like to know if I can build a really decent light for around 400-500 or less for my space (including my current cheapos as supplemental lighting). Otherwise il just buy a couple 600w cheapos and roll with it, but for spending 500ish dollars i would rather build a quality light.
