Can't upload pics anymore, WHY?

I just tried to up load pics for the first time since RIU's makeover and none of them will upload! I have uploaded pics on this site many times before the makeover but now, the pics are to big. I'm using the same camera as before, Canon PowerShot S5 IS. They pics are in jpg format but are more than the 2.5 MB and 800 x 800 pixls that the manage attachments file specifies. Anyone have any advice? +rep Thanks!

click add filles
then
click select files
then
choos your destination were your pics are stored in your computer..
then
click open
then click manage attachments again
then click upload files
then click insert attachments.

yeah, i know how to do all that. when i click upload files, an exclamation mark pops up next to it, and will not allow it to be uploaded.

The same thing happens to me. I've asked and tried a bunch of things, but nothing works. I finally started using tinypic.com and just insert them into the body of the message.
