Car odour filter

Just wondering if anyone has made a carbon filter using car odour filters?
Before I got made redundant I started collecting brand new carbon filters work mates hadn't fitted, in total I have like 12 of these filters measuring 13x7 and a over an inch thick.

With filters is it best to push or pull air through?

Thats what I though, long as the fans isn't right up close to the filter i didn't think it would effect it.

my 'car filter' fan is attached directly to my fan
