hey all

i am a uk grower and currently planning on growing 20 mango seeds by kc brains oudoors this year,i have 20.

because the weather over here isnt that gd and temps can drop really low, would keeping them in somethink like this overnight help?

i was thinking it will keep the plants out the way of more animals and also keep it from any sudden forst, rain or wind.

what do you all think?

thanks.

I'm not sure what you mean just put them in the box outside or bring them in overnight? KC brains grows in the dutch outdoors so I would assume they would be pretty tolerant of these kind of conditions. I don't think the boxes are necessary or would even work like said above mold is an issue and it's not going to change the temperature and the oxygen building up could suffocate your plants. Harden your plants and allow them to get acustomed to the night temps I would think you would be okay.

I grew mago indoor last year.....I got two females out of 2 seedlings. One was my favorite it grew faster than the other it seemed more robust than the other but the one that ended up the best was the smaller one. I would say look for the pheno that has the least spacing at the internodes. The internodes on the small one where so compact it was like on the 7th or 8th set of leaves but was still only like 6 inches tall the flavor on that one was really nice. I'm smokin some mango from the dispensary right now too:)

yea i kno there adapted to the dutch weather which is basically the same as england.

i just thought putting them in boxes overnight or making a windbreak around them to stop em from getting batterd in the wind thats all lol.
also im gonna just keep the 20 seedlings under 100w of cfls's under i feel there ready.
thanks anyway and it sais upto 150g indoors and 800g outdoors what do you think i will get from each plant?

thanks

hard to say probably 300g per plant. 800g's is almost 2 lbs, which isnt too hard to get if given the right genetics and you take good care of them, but most plants yield under a lb.

Mate I can't belive your growing out side this time of year. I would say try and water proof the box some how or use a clean plastic bin with a weight in the bottom to stop it blowing over in the wind. Then when you want 12/12 light you can just put the lid on as you need it. You may want some air vents cut in to the lid and sides. Good luck mate.

i have a friend who has grown outdoor in the uk using cardboard box's not so much as protection but to help/force the 12/12 light cycle. must have protected the plants too and the bud was very nice but it was summer time not winter.
