Carbon filter and fan question

Do you run your filter and fan 24/7 or not? if not then how do you run your filter and fan setup? thanks

i run my exhaust 24 x 7. my light cooling fan i run as needed. i attach the filter when it becomes necessary. the oscillating fan runs 24 x 7

i have my fan/filter set up on my lights. it sucks through the filter, through the lights and through the fan and into the attic. i run it 24x7

in a 3x3x6' room would a 4" vortex be ok in this setup?
