Hey, if i'm only growing 1 or 2 plants in a grow box out in my shed is a Carbon Filter really necessary? will the smell from 2 plants be that bad? I'll be venting the box and exhaust will be going outside in corner of my garden.....

Depends on the strain man and the temps of your shed the warmer it is the more it's going to stink shi you can smell some strains before you flower them If the sheds somewhere your worried about an odor better safe then sorry anyways bro

I turned off my carbon filter/extractor for one day. I live 4 floors up. I hadn't gotten halfway up the stairs before i was overwhelmed by the smell, needless to say i sprinted the last half in record time.

If you are not legal, it ALWAYS pays to play it cautious.

I agree, always play it safe. When I grew skunk I'm sure you could smell it for a mile away if I didn't have a charcoal filter. On the other side the afghan kush I am growing now barely smells at all. Best to have it just in case, you can always unhook it if you don't need it.
