Carbon Filter question

Why does people use carbon filters in the HPS lights? To cool the light don't you need only one fan that blows inside the hood(or cool tube)? Why they don't use carbon filters on the exhaust so all the air that comes out of the tent/room don't smell like skunk? Thanks guys! I apologize for my ignorance ha ha :eyesmoke:

I dont think "people use carbon filters in the HPS lights." Dont know where you got that from....maybe if you have a vented hood is what your thinking. From the beginning of the exhaust in that type of system would go carbon filter-duct-ventilated hood-duct-exhaust fan. You draw air through the carbon filter by pulling air in with your exhaust fan, which if the set up is like i stated, in turn, cools your hood as well. Hope that helps...

OOOH...sooo, the carbon filter "takes" the smelly air, than filter and cool the light, and then when the exhaust "put" the air out of the tent the air have no smell? If so that is badass! Thanks 805Farming !
