carbon filter question

I think you should be fine. 2cfm variance between fan and filter shuldn't make a difference. To start with 442cfm for the fan is under OPTIMAL conditions. Place 1 small bend in the ventilation ducting, and your fans effectiveness drops.

looks good...always remember if your exhausting direct outside you can only push half the cfm's thru it...if your recirculating within a space then u can max the cfm rating of your filter...it can pay off to get a speed controller for yer fan...jmheo

i got a speed controller. i live in a trailer, its exhausting through the floor which is outside.

ill give a little more info on my situation. i got a 400w hps in a 33 wide space, i got a 4 inch fan and filter because i had a smaller setup. when i got the 400w hps, i figured it was big enough to be in a cooltube with reducers attached and could be vented.. well its small, my ducting is smashed in some spots and i need a 6 inch fan and filter so i can get rid of the reducers and have plenty of room.... i run the light at night because during the day its too hot in the house and its 80-90 in the box depending on the time of day.

...the fan filter combo looks good for that space/light app....personally i went with gotham hydro and got the same fan filter combo with the speed controller, but a bit better filter...it cost me less than half of my local shop.(1 block away)..and they shipped it accross the continent and into canada....gotham is a good choice for most things...ive purchased from them several times , when they get to kno u they ship before the payment is evan finished prosessing.....they totally undervalue the stuf so it cost nothing for border duty tax.......thier e mail responces never take more than 20 mins (usually)
