Hi there,

I've done alot of research into this, and you can do it either way, though some would say you shouldn't... both ways have their pro's and con's - however my decision based on all the avail info was that your better off sucking through the filter, it's been made to be sucked through... so I'd recommend putting your filter in the grow area, and suck air through it and out. (FILTER)->[fan]->out. TTK

I suck through mine, and keep it inside of the tent. But you can also blow through them.

pros of keeping it in the tent are seclusion...no one can just see a carbon filter sitting around....cons, you dont get as much air flow through your hood(if you running a air cooled hood and pulling though it, this also depends on your fan)

vise versa for keeping it outside of tent.

I suck through mine. This enables me to better direct the exhaust and keeps the inside of my hood and the outside of my bulb nice and clean.

Yeah its more efficient if you pull through not push. But if your runnign one fan on a "Y" into different rooms. You can push through after the inline fan and not have to buy two seperate carbon filters
