Caregivers of Colorado

Hi everybody. I have been searching for a legitimate physician to go through in search for a medical marijuana permit in the State of Colorado, as I suffer from chronic back pain. I have contacted the THC Foundation, and found them to be quite rude on the phone. They do not seem too concerned about their clients, so I do not think I will be working with them.

On the other hand,
Caregivers of Colorado appear to be very professional. Unfortunately, I have not found much information about them outside of the website. I know they charge a fee of $250 plus the State fee of $90, but I have no idea if that is a good price.

Also, has anybody ever gone through this group and can you give me some kind of information?

Here is their website: http://www.caregiversofcolorado.com/

Please tell me what you think.

Thank you! :peace:

250 + 90 seems a little high on price.

Did you try your regular DR first ? There are hundreds of different doctors that have signed recs. That would be the cheapest route.

What part of the state are you in ? That makes a difference as well.

Do you have recent documented history of your chronic pain ?
That's another thing that you will need.

Let me know how we can help.

I have recently worked thru the Medical Marijunia system in Colorado and found a very friendly organization. They are called Medical Cannabis of Colorado. We went thru them to obtain the Doctors appointment and recommendation. We used their small dispensary and found their prices to be some of the most affordable. They will help you with questions and assist with set up of your grow room if that is the way you want to go. We found them to be great and do not push for you to use them as a caregiver giving us the option to grow our own.

It ended up costing us $215 plus the $90 for the state. Not exactly cheap but the vibe is friendly and helpful. The key is solid medical records, be prepared, xrays, records of pain medication, any thing from you doctor that supports your case.

If your are fortunate enough to have a personal physcian that sees the value of medical marijunia you can just get the application and doctor recommendation form from here

Good luck to you

Grassroots Medical Clinic -Boulder $250
Herbal Solutions -Westminster $200
Both those include the fee to the state.
I've had friends and myself who have gone to one or the other of these 2 places. Both are friendly, and will get you properly licensed in the state of Colorado.

Well thanks everybody! This is all very helpful. I dropped the expensive guys and decided to go with THCF anyway. Their fee is going to cost me $180 plus the state fee, which is more reasonable. They also assured me that, with my medical record, I have a 100% chance of qualification. The appointment is later this week, so wish me luck!

The arrangement between a caregiver and patient varies. In some cases you can get a certain quanity of free meds when you assign your caregiver. Other times you get a discounted price. Generally speaking a caregiver is well compensated for there efforts.

In our case(my husband and myself) we made each other caregivers. This allows us to grow 6 plants in veg and 6 in flower (3 each per patient). We can still go to a dispensary and get meds if we need to between growing cycles or to try a new strain. Generally you will pay more if the dispensary is not your caregiver and you really need to check around to find a place you like.

Also remember you can change your caregiver but you must file that with the state as well.I also believe it is the patients responsibility to notify an exisiting caregiver that your are changing.

If north of Denver works for you I recommend C3 in Federal Heights as a place to get your meds. Great folks, know what they are talking about and seem to really want to help people.
