I hope this holds off until at least Obama becomes president because Bush will veto it and it will not get past the veto.
Its still weaksauce but its a step in the right direction. Law Enforcement hates it because it would mean they have to focus on and go after more violent offenders as screwing with marijuana users/suppliers is so much easier and less threatening for them.

Zero chance of passing but its good that atleast there bills are being brought to the legislative floor.

Yeah, I agree it is very good that it is at least being brought up. I also agree with the article in that it is no more dangerous than alcohol if not less dangerous.

The DEA is the biggest obstacle to this proposed legislation, and are lobbying for tougher penalties. Massachusetts is set to vote in November to decriminalize for those who are in posession of an ounce or less...........so far those polled in MA are
73% in favor of this proposal. We'll see..........But I do agree that Nationally it won't happen now, even if Obama gets in. Smoke on....!
