Caterpillars and Revegging

i have caterpillars in this years harvest. not too big of a deal. but i was wondering if i leave some buds on the plant and try to reveg one of my plants, will the caterpillars die off once vegging begins? if the buds are no longer there, they should die off right?

what should i do for her in the meantime while she is in the process of reverting back to veg? theres still some buds, and im hoping the caterpillars dont kill them(and the leaves) off before she is able to get to veg

no its not going to fend them off they eat everything starting from inside the bud and work their way out. Moths lay eggs on the shoulders of the nodes where they connect, Then when it starts to nug up eggs incubate and the worms eat their way out from the center. At the first sign of worms go through your plant like a crack head on a binge, if they are still there after you spray and remove all of them and back strong you might as well chop it because they will take six ounces and turn it into one in a matter of 2 weeks, even with you pulling em off. They are going to eat those nugs you left on to reveg and it wont reveg. IF, IF it does great but its doubtful.

get some hot sauce and some garlic, and spray the shit out of them. I spent 6 hours a few days ago picking them off, then read about that, sprayed my plants, and they ran like canni tranni to a mascara sale

crazy i just bt the bitches it melts em but they still come back with a veangence it has to do with the fact that thousands of eggs are laid inside your nug and you cant get to it with spray anymore cuz its too late nothin to do but pick em off as they come out an if you keep sprayin ur bud tastes like ass eventually so... Keep a close eye brotha keep the spray up til you cant and then pick the bitches off.

hmm weird, i had this guy in my outdoor garden and he not only ate all the leaves off my jalapenos but ate about half of a pepper too!

does neem oil have any effect on Caterpillars???

Keeping budworms from ruining your crop just takes maintenance. Some use BT, I prefer Spinosad. I spray inside the buds, soak em good. The I keep checking, at the next sign of them (usually 1-2 weeks) I just rinse and repeat. Last year I only lost a little of one bud, got educated on them and tried Spinosad. It dissipates within a few days, no residue or nasty taste. It's not a poison, it's a bacteria

you might want to try what i'm doing...get a mosquito net and order some trichogamma wasp eggs from planetnatural.com ...these wasps kill the eggs but you'll have to pick the adults or if you're lucky to find some praying mantis, they'll eat the adults. the mosquito net you can get from army surplus stores or sporting good stores like sports authority. This will keep bugs off the plant and keep beneficial insects in.

Catepillars were giving me hell too. I think i only have leafeaters though...kinda hard to tell whats going on in there becuase they can be real difficult to find thats why i ordered those wasps. I think planet natural has other insects that eat the adult catepillars but they can be expensive.
