Site is being considered for my first time growing in rockwool that is hooked into a main house's central a/c. Room has both an intake and out take for the central system in the room. Does anyone have any experience with using a carbon filter inline with a central a/c unit to keep the smell from spreading throughout the house? Is this even feasible or necessary?
And another issue I'm worried about is that the A/C itself will not provide adequate ventilation, and if that is the case I'd either have to compromise my houses insular qualities to use the more traditional basement style ventilation system. Could I get away with just circulating the hell out of the air in the room (i.e, a light proof plastic box with a squirrel box fan pumping air into the chamber and computer fans out?) and only having air circulated in and out of the room through what i'd assume would be a heavily filtered central a/c unit? Do I have to have air from literally 'outside' being pumped in, and air in 'out', or can i get away with just cycling it within the room and the house's a/c?
What the set up would be, briefly. Two visqueen rooms, about 4x8 each. most likely supporting a total of 8 plants. I know I could probably get much more that 8 plants out of 2 4x8 areas but am still learning, and am starting small.
Just a bit confused on the subject, probably over thinking it. Any advice greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
