Sure you can use clf's for flowering, watt for watt hps puts out alot more lumens tho.

well if you have enough lights you can. im doing a cfl grow with 5 42watters and if you really want to see something cool look at garden knowm's pictures they are done with cfls. so yes, but a lot of people say its more hastle then its worth

I am gonna use cfl's for my first grow so any input form clf's growers would be appreciated..
How many plants you got under those 5 42 watters? Are they soft white? Are you still veggin or are you flowering? How many sq.ft. is your grow space?

right now im doing one BIG plant...but eventually after i get some mothers. i will be doing 7 very small clones. with 6 clfs...it should work out pretty well... not too sure, but they should be able to handle it. im only thinking about an ounce-1.5 ounces per 2 months...but thats pretty good for a personal grow
