CFL Grow, Super Silver Haze, LA Woman, 2 Easy Ryders

I am growing four feminized plants, all in soil; one 2.5 week old Super Silver Haze, one 12 week old LA woman, and two 8 week old Easy Ryders. The Haze came from a greenhouse seeds colored five pack. The Easy Ryders and LA woman were left with a friend for a few weeks when they were young and got fairly sick, they are looking great now.

I am using Fox Farm flowering nutrients for the two Easy Ryders with BC boost. The Easy Ryder and SSH get General Hydro grow. All of the water gets about 2 tablespoons of Hydrogen Peroxide per gallon.

I haven't really added up the total watts I am using, but as of now I'm sure I have enough. The Easy Ryders in flowering get 2700K, and the vegging plants get 6500K lights. I haven't grown very much before, but everything is going good so far, Ill put in some pictures.

My room mate and I are growing these, we also have 4 smaller plants growing in a DWC hydro system; feminized lemon haze, big bang, white rhino and Hawaiian snow. They also came from the greenhouse colored five pack. Ill try to get a journal started on those as well.

The first plant is an Easy Ryder, The second is the silver haze. The next is an easy ryder. It is pretty short with curled leaves. Looked like nutrient burn, so i am just finishing up a week long flush. The last pic is of the La woman. It's not feminized but a week or so ago we changed the light schedule and a few female hairs popped out so we know its a female. Its the tallest plant so far.

Here is a pic of the whole set up. Its in my closet. I have one door pulled off and replaced with black plastic. the black plastic has a computer fan installed in the top for exhaust. It keeps the closet around 75-80 with the doors closed and the lights on, and around 68 with the lights off. The lighting schedule is 20/4.

The bigger light is a new addition, we got it for $60 from the local hydro store.. its a 125 watt daylight CFL. so far the plants seem to be really liking it.

I will be trying to update this journal as much as possible, all feedback and suggestions are appreciated!

Heres a few more pics, i had to take the plants out of the grow area to get a good shot... The first plant is the Silver haze, then Easy Ryder, LA woman, and the last shot is of the easy ryder's top cola. These pics were taken a few days ago, crazy how much its already grown since then.

good luck flowering that haze with cfls that shit is gonna take forever lol hazes take maaaaad long dont they? i aint knockin cfls cus i use them but good luck

Ya it should be interesting, Im trying to get some money together for a HPS or somethin for flowering but so this has been workin well. Even if i have to keep it under CFLs I have hope it will finish up well. Any idea how long Super Silver Hazes tend to take to flower? Its from greenhouse seeds if that makes any difference.

hey scratch than man, i didnt realize it was a hybrid haze it actually has indica in it which would cut down flowering time i would think..? cus i know some straight hazes can take forever as in like 16 weeks lol i remember seeing 1 on here somewhere i was like holy shit wtf ..

lol yea i know they got the flowering time down a bit, but its still long. It will be interesting to see how difficult the grow is as well, i know straight hazes are really though, but hopefully with some hybrid vigor in there it will go better

right now im gonna say red dwarf im hoping to get an oz dry off my current grow check it out, its in my sig. my other 2 plants were white russian but were literally like 5-6 inches tall and only yielded a little less than a half dry. the smoke was bomb but wasnt really worth the time and effort, but then again i was using mg soil and it was my 1st grow EVER, soooo its hard to tell as of yet. i still have auto hindu kush and poison dwarf to test out too

Its been a few days since my last update... Two nights ago I put the Silver Haze and LA woman into flowering. That means the two easyryders will be in 12/12 lighting. It will be interesting to see how they progress. Here are some pics!

So its been one week since I put the plants into 12/12 lighting... LA Woman and Super Silver have exploded! They both are showing hairs on nearly all of their branches...

The two Easy ryders have slowed a bit since the light change which makes since.. the little guy has hardly grown at all. Some of its outer buds look almost finished but the center bud is still completely white, any ideas? I think its probably cuz of all the stress it endured when it was young but oh well, maybe ill make some hash out of it!

The Bigger Easyryder is coninuing to mature, still looking very healthy, Heres some pics...

Anyone out there? suggestions? opinions?

Just found a few pics from my 1st harvest from a few months ago... Two Lowryders, the smoke was pretty nice, not too strong...

The plants are still growing extrememly fast, I was expecting the LA woman to stay fairly short and stocky, looks like I was very mistaken I need more lights as well, hopefully next week I can pick some up, smell is becoming a problem also, usually it smells faintly like chronic outside my apartment door :S, I have a med card so its legal, still sketchy though.

The Little easyryder is still being weird, I am going to harvest the outside buds which look mature in the next few days and leave the central stalk going, will this hurt the plant?

Silver Haze is flowering fairly slowly which is to be expected. It has hairs on most of hte nodes on the main stalk, and a few on the outer branches.

LA woman is flowering fairly fast, this is day 12 of flowering. (at least i think its fast, guess i havent grown a non lowryder before) The up close pic of the little flower is the LA woman

I Transplanted the LA woman and Silver Haze into larger pots yesterday. They were losing lower leaves fairly quick and I hear thats a sign of being root bound. They didn't appear to be stressed out at all and are still goin strong.

I chopped the little easy ryder.. it wasn't really maturing and I needed the lights. The buds are pretty small but very cristaly. maybe I will make some hash or hash oil. Heres some pics... The first cola is the easyryder still growing, the 2nd is the LA woman.. Silver haze hasn't started to show much other than a few hairs.

Here is some pics of my set up. It is in a closet maybe 5 feet by 2 deep or so. I have one of the doors taken off and replaced with plastic, the other side is just the door covered in plastic to ensure its light proof. Having one side plastic makes it easy to add in ventilation. I have a computer fan up near the top for exhaust and a hole maybe 3"x3" at the bottom for intake. There is also a small desk fan near the intake pushing the cooler air up. It gives the area very nice air movement.

For nutrients I have mix of brands.. Im using BC boost and Fox Farm Tiger Bloom. I also add 1 or 2 tablespoons of H2O2 per gallon every watering. I just picked up some ONA gel to help with the smell, so far its working great.

These plants look Decent man.. keep up the good work.

Plants are still going strong. LA Woman has some droopy leaves near the top, i think it was due to low light and high heat.. I fixed the heat and moved the lights around to improve the efficiency today.. hopefully it helps.

Other than that, they are going great. Super Silver Haze is starting to come along, showing some nice buds forming. LA woman has tons of little buds with really long hairs should be a good one.

The Easyryder is getting close. On Friday I started flushing it. Next sunday when my roomie gets back from spring break we are going to harvest, assuming its ready.
