CFL lights

big ass 100w cfl bulb which would be 500w of an incandescent bulb. to use or not to use ? and how many would u advice? my grow area is about the size of a small closet and my babies are about 45 days in. ohh and i have four plants.

its cool use 1 per plant with cfls the more the marier you can toss in a couple 23 watters around the sides

i would use 200 w(dual spec) on one plant MINIMUM,but idk,if thats not your only light use it,if thats only thing you have,buy more cuz you cant grow 4 with 100w

Hiya Ganjahelp2, forget 500w incandescent..just go by the TRUE watt rating.. 200w will give you about 4000>5000 Lumens per bulb which from what I've read is about what you need per plant for good growth(I could be wrong) I started with a Giant Dual 200w CFL and ended up with 4 ladies under this and pulled 4oz when chopped and dryed(Not great by some peeps standards) but I was happy..

Are you going to just hang em or use reflector? is closet painted Matt white or Mylar? stay away from Cheap Panda Film of Fleabay its not light proof..

Remember that large cfls get hot so exhaust is needed.

hey ganja smoker, thanks for the reply. i cant find any stronger than the 100w CFL, but im definitely going to get a few more. My grow area is covered in reflective material,i think its doin its job. i wouldnt mind 4oz at all

100W (True Watt) would be maybe ok for veg but when it comes to flower time you're going to want as much light as you can get.

Get some smaller CFL's for side lighting too if you can.

What's the colour spectrum of the CFL you're looking at?

the lights are 5000lm and 6400k per bulb,i have 3 which i think are in the blue spectrum and ya for flowering ima need alot more and a wider spectrum
