CFL Proximity to Seedlings Question

I have 6 White Rhino seedlings under 4x 42 watt CFLs. How close should my seedlings be to the CFLs? Obviously the closer they get, the hotter the temperature. Is it better to have them farther away from the lights so it's not so hot? Any advice is appreciated. I'll upload pics in a few minutes.

u can have em real close as close as 2 inches with cfl the closer the better

Depends on how far along they are. Once you have some true leaves, I keep them very close. I also get a light breeze on them. But it is very possible to fry to cots if too close too young.

I can get my 125w cfl about 1-2 inches without any issues.

same here. thats the beuty of cfl you get nice tight noods in veg the closer they are

I noticed that as well. Very tight spacing.
