CFL Q & A! on the cfl box it says " dont use with timer"

what happens if you use it with a timer?

I promise the world wont end, but turning your lights on and off on time is a very vital factor in a grow. YES USE A TIMER...love you

I've seen the cfls that say don't use with dimmers. Never noticed one that said no timers. lol.. mine have been on timers for a while.. no probs. =)

Fluorecents don't do dimmers, but saying no timers is like saying never turn this off or on. Timers are fine, guaranteed!

yeah they say dont use dimmers,i guarantee this guy got the two words mixed up.

If your timer makes an audible "click" when is turns on and off, you will be fine. Some CFL ballasts put out a lot of electrical interference, and it can mess up an all digital (triac) based timer. These timers have no audible click. Rather than try to explain that on the box translated from whatever language it was in where the bulb was made, sometimes they just say "no timers".
