CFL reflector cable

This prob is a dumb question but just bought a CFL reflector that came with an IEC connection. Do i just have to buy the plug part with the other IEC end on and connect the 2 for it to work (like below), or should i take the IEC part off and change it for a normal plug

radio shack, office depot, staples... all that is is a computer power cord.

so all i need to do i buy the plug, and plug it in.
