CFL Wattage question

Hey - forgive me if this is a dumb question. I've been doing a few modest autoflower grows for a while with a 125 watt blue spectrum CFL/envirolite. Want to step it up a little & would like to know if I can swap the 125w blue bulb for, say, a 200/250 watt red bulb when the plants start flowering...? Or would this be too much power for the reflector socket? Had also considered just adding a red spec bulb in addition to the blue 125 & put it at the bottom of the tent so the bottom of the plants get more light. Any thoughts/suggestions would be most appreciated...

Most all sockets are rated at least 250w. It should be fine.

My 65 cent Y splitters are rated at 660w...

well...you'll have to look at your socket to see if its rated for that high of a wattage...we can't tell you if it is or not...if you cant tell contact the manufacturer and they should know :)

Also using both lights instead of just the one will definitely help...in the CFL world the more the better :)
