So Ive heard here on RIU not to be fooled by the Cfls marked 42watts(150watts eqivalent) If its not equivalent to what the box says then what really is the wattage on those cfls just the origingal wattage posted on the box or would it be half of the equivalency?? what the hell??:cuss:

And a 23w is 1600 lumens... times 3... 69w = 4800 lumens.

So, you can get those extra lumens using approximately the same wattage.

This may be the venue for the 'sweetest' cfl watt/lumen ratio I've seen in commercial cfl's. GE seems to make a 29 watt cfl that has a 2200 initial lumen rating. 75 lumens per watt! Price, however, ain't so sweet, $55 on 1000bulbs. I dare say few have tried this little 'Cadillac' of cfl's?

Wasn't tempted by that price, more of a curiosity. Though the tech will likely come down in price over time.
