Hey everyone!
This is my very first post on RIU, but I've been lurking around for quite some time. I'm a fairly seasoned grower, having grown on and off for the last 6 or so years...
Anyhow, I noticed a lot of people around saying CH9 gear was junk, and that they all are hermie prone, blah blah, ect. Well by chance, I happened to get a freebie seed from Attitude recently, and it was CH9 Humboldt. What a perfect way to find out how it grows! I couldn't find too much out about this strain, or if it had any unique phenos. I couldn't really find out ANYTHING, except a ton of people were asking the same questions that I was. So I figured since I'm about 6 weeks into flowering I'd finally let the cat out of the bag!
I did in fact notice a few male pre flowers and I almost scrapped the plant, but I stuck with it, and I'm really glad I did!
Here's a few pics so everyone can see what to expect. This grow I have a CH9 Humboldt and a Greenhouse Himalayan Gold going. Both were Fimmed about a week or so before going into the flower room. The HG is on the left with the more yellowish hue on the pistils, The Humboldt is on the right, with more of a bright white color. They were both vegged under a 150w HPS and Flowering is under a 400w HPS. I noticed on the Attitude's website that the Humboldt looked like it had purple characteristics. My one plant has shown no purple anywhere, and the temps get reasonably cool during dark hours. The HG has a ways to go, but the CH9 is just absolutely COVERED with crystals! I'm thinking it should be about an 8 week plant. I was smart enough to grab two clones off of her, and I'm really glad I did, it's such a sticky fruity plant!
Thanks for looking guys!
