ive been running my CFL's on my ladies 24/0 throughout veg. i want to switch to 12/12 tommorow, and im wondering the best way to do it. DO i need to give it 16 hours of straight dark then change it? i want to have the lights on from 7pm to 7am

i really don't think it's going to make a difference, but I would turn them off at 7AM and then turn them back on at 7PM.

another question: is your grow totally sealed? even a tiny bit of light can prevent initiation of flowering.

that's a good first step, because if not, you're just wasting time and light you're plants could be getting.

is there a reason why you're not doing light during the day? heat?

well i would run light during the day unless you're having heat or security issues. the other reason for this is that when you're tending to the plant, watering, etc., you want it to be the light period. i personally am most likely to do this between 7Am and 7PM than 7PM and 7AM.

the best way to do it is to adjust your timer(if you don't have one go and get it) to 12 hours on 12 hours off in a time that is good for ya.don't forget to keep us posted with the flowering dude :D. good luck! Cheers!!! CheetaH
