doesn't get hot at all with the CFL and fans , im not saying you have to go with this option but its cheap and it works really well and again its an extremely cheap option if your on a tight budget ,( I know I was) . I just cut and taped the boxes so its 30''x30'' and as you can see my plant seems to be fine except I had a little PH problem but hell city water right. and again its just an option and I wouldn't use this set up without running all CFL or LED due to heat could be an issue (NOT IN MY CASE THOUGH) , mine the sides of the box stay between 70-80 degrees I don't seem to have a heat issue not saying it couldn't happen but I can only comment from my own experience with this set up, and I don't have any heat issues and im running 24/0 . so that's why I thought it might help someone new with little money and trying to find something practical cuz lets be honest you can spend a lot of money really quick setting everything up. This is just a quick cheap and efficient set up that you can buy everything all while picking up your groceries . you can always also change things up but it does give some idea on just how affordable you can start with. 0 and I have my medium size OS fan mounted on the wall above (not pictured) . im starting this thread just to maby help someone on a budget or just a little confused about which way to go . I know I did and probably spent more time and money rebuilding my set up over and over and over (TIME TO BURN ONE COUGH-RELAX) . THIS ONE DESIGN IS CHEAP EASY TO INSTALL (its cardboard so you can cut to fit) I made this one for my closet in my apt and all from Wa _mart all for around $60. heres a good list that can do the job. 6-CFLS 6500k = $8pk of 4 . 6-3ft ext. cords=$1.20ea. 1-chain=$3. 3-hooks=$3. 2-mini fans=$5ea. 1-medium OS fan=$18. 2-moving boxes=$1ea. 1-roll duck tape = free (we all have duck tape somewhere). 1-roll aluminum foil=free (we all have aluminum foil) and this one you have to look really hard in the lighting department for 6-socket to bulb adaptors=$0.90ea. ive included a pic so you can find what im talking about with the bulb adaptor
