This is an example of how to grow without busting your bANK. iTEMS I ALREADY HAD: Aerogarden for the first 10 days of germ to seedling. they work great. I had basic tools , mylar, net pots, 400 HPS ballast with one partially used and one new,a fan, 4 or 5 air pumps( I believe in oxygenation) tubeing and air stones. I waqnt to prove to myself I don't have to spend 4000 dollars to grow, other wise Id just pay for the pain meds and anxiety pills etc ut of pocket. That and I love getting stoked.
I purchased:
seed, roughneck storage tote for my DWC foreverhome for the girls. Hydroton, sponges for the aerogarden. (they transplant real well into hydroton. GH FLORASERIES GROWBOX, which honestly fits the bill for just about all you need for a complete beginning to end small grow. I may have to repurchase some rapid start, iffy, and definitely the flora blend. Im using a much larger reservoir this grow, Im using between 6-7 gallons of water every 7 to 10 days since week 2.5. Purchased some ph up, I was using white vinegar but it smelled like a salad bowl. and that's been it plus electric. I figure Ill get 3/4 to a full # for under 200 hundred,
I haven't kept a journal but heres an update on things, I had a problem with ph early on but after a struggle of mammoth proportions(well big probs) Its well controlled, and now I tell it when to sit stand or stay. So as of tonight;
the tallest is about 5 to 6 inches, the other 3 are within an inch or less. 1 inch growth in 24hrs. They are compact, deep green perfect indica pups. Lowered the 400 wt. hps to about 16 inches Wednesday. Roots are tremendous condition and growing in excess of 1-2 inches since yesterday some grew as long as 3 inches. The girls are in perfect shape. No deficiency as of today. Last week I sprinkled some full Strength nute water on the leaves. I thought it was tap water. I burned some holes and even burned a few leaves out but after some dilution of nute strength for a few days and lots of rain. They are perfect now. Ill lower the lights a little bit more to acclimate them to full strength light and nutes. The genetics look promising. I paid top dollar and all the plants are practically mimicking each otHers growth rates. Im hoping this indicates good genes for thc strength. They are WW fems(my first grow with fems. Its great. No more wondering if you wont have a crop of all males. Its happened.. Its a roll of the laws of averages. ) .I should be able to flower next weeken. Going to up the nute strength for the next 7 days, then transit 12/12 and transit nutes, I usually use the transit nutes for 6-10 days, then start I gradual but quick climb to full flower strength. Ive done maybe a dozen grows and this one is the finest looking most responsive grows iVE EVER DONE. I read a lot and ask a lot of questions. I try to always remember I don't and wont ever, know everything about growing. My best grow to date was 10white rhino + ? seeds, 4 femmed and 6 grew balls. I let them grow tall(not this time around) about 36inches at harvest. I got about a pound after cure. The strength was a little lacking but I used basic nutes and cheap seeds.
