I have heard some people recommend jacks ferts as an alternative to the cannabis marketed ferts. Any others?

I grow all coco drain to waste these days.

Canna isn't too cheap...and it doesn't seem to last as long as some other brands..don't get me wrong, it's awesome, but not cheap, not where I am anyway.

I've used Canna. It's alright. Not much different than any other line I have used.

The only Canna dealer in town does not cut deals either. The HnG dealer does 15% off list price.

Guilty, I don't like to spend more money than i have to.

I use hygrozym at 1/2 strength.

Hmmm...Haven't used Jacks but I have found that I get just about the best results with various and assorted guanos...once you get them all mixed inwith water ...or outdoors i just kinda fling some in the general direction of the plants...

That's cool. Just various Guano teas? Nothing else?

Blue planet is good ^ you're right, I personally use their Myco. Personally I'd suggest general organics (Go Box) for a cheap high quality grow though. It's organic and ph balanced; It's really the most complete kit for the price. The only thing I'd improve would be their Cal/Meg

I take like a cup of pretty warm water and put in a teaspoon of whatever guano, then I let it sit and get all mixable, and then I mix it really well, then I mix the warm water into a gallon of cold water...sometimes I use seabird guano, sometimes I use jamaican, sometimes indonesian...just depending on what I am giving it to...and really you only have to add it once or twice...when I feel lazy I just sprinkle a little on top of the soil or coco and then water it in...you can't use it every watering though or it can be a little too much.

General Organics just doesnt seem that cheap. At 1-2 teaspoons per quart... $50US per gallon... that's not cheap.

I appreciate the responses. I just remember a "you don't have to spend on ferts" camp rolling through a while back.

I see Jacks is super cheap. Might just give it a try.

I made guano teas for outdoors crop back in the day.

My guerilla method was...
transplant clones in April, water with river water.
return 2 weeks later, feed with miracel grow all purpose.
return a month later, feed with guano tea.
reurn Mid July to water/feed as needed.
return every wknd of August to water.
cut down plants in the middle of the night, hours before the first frost.

Ill pick up some guano and try it again.

I get you man, no worries I think I misunderstood how cheap exactly you're trying to go. In that case I cannot guve much personal experience as I've always coughed up the dough for soil and ferts.

Well, I thought I was going to hear from the folks who have been preaching simple, 1 part, cheap water soluble fertilizers. Jacks was one of them that they recommended.

I guess people were harvesting with the same quality, using nothing but a single fertilizer. something like 20-10-10, all the way through. No 2 part base, no additives, just ph and 20-10-10. I was intrigued, so I thought I would see if some of those folks with fill me in.

Yeah, Ive been happy with HnG. Im going to try this jacks orchid food. If it doesn't work ill go back to HnG for sure.

Gotcha. Have you looked in to Subcool's super soil? Edit nvm just re read you use coco. Hat about humboldt oneness?

Ill have to check it out. Just reading up on it a little now.

A one part thing would be cool. These days I'm working alot. Time for the garden is less and less lately.
