I got both my 150's from there.. paid way under $200.00 for both units.

They come with the bulb too..

Google it if your interested in checking them out.

i went with HTG. there are other sites out there that are probably cheaper. even the bay.

but they are pretty close to the cheapest usually. and pretty good customer service. sometimes they give me shit but they've always been good on their word.

thanks, does it affect the electric bill much?
HTG has some of the lowest prices that I have seen for 150-400 watt MH and HPS light kits. Now you know if you are growing and using lights anywhere from 12-24 hours constantly your electric bill is going to show some increase. It all depends on how much you are paying for kilowatts (whatever) and how long the lights are on.:leaf::leaf::finger:

depends if you are ready for DIY - you won't beat a kit setup for low price

for example, over on 1000bulbs.com we have

for a ballast - http://1000bulbs.com/product/7860/BS-LU0150120.html - $26.40 for matching bulb - http://1000bulbs.com/product/4978/LU0150-0010.html - $7.04 this presumes you are willing to cobble a fixture(which can be done very cheaply) - so add another $10 for cheap base, some miscellaneous supplies

so about $50 is about as low as you can go(which was the OP)
not recommending this necessarily since the cheapest may not be the best choice

I bought my 150HPS at Amazon for $79.

Electricity use consider it as you would a desk lamp. 150 watts = 2 75watt lamps running 12 hours a day.

Or, if you want to get technical about it, 150W * 12 hours * 30 days = 54kWatt hours per month. Check your electric bill for the rate. For me, it's around 22 cents per, so around $12/month

that would be badass how difficult is that thing to put together?? can you send me instructions?
from the like on the post, guessing you might be interested on trying the DIY route
the ballast kit will normally have wiring instructions, a number of threads here have this info
the nice thing is you can control the physical configuration based on your setup

If you have any electrical experience you can construct your own lighting systems using inexpensive ballast kits.. The last one I built cost me under $50 and it was a switchable setup made by adding a wall switch to bypass the igniter..
