Cheapest prices on Equip?

I just visited my local hydro shop, lots of good stuff there! The thing is its expensive, out the door for about a grand for virtually everything I need from scratch to grow (guess that's not THAT bad), but it was only a 400 W light.

Personally I feel online ordering for this type of stuff to be safer. For some reason I feel cops are just watching everyone going into a hydro shop, but thats just me.

So online, is there a walmart of grow equip? If so who is it? I saw the sticky post, but am looking for a one stop shop on deals, maybe craigslist for used or ebay?

gimme a minute, lemme find my thread i posted yesterday. I got a full breakdown on the cheapest equipment your gonna find online as far as i can tell, n i bin lookin for like two months, lol. Ill hit this back up in a second.

can get activated carbon at walmart dot com for 7$
squirrel cage fans at American Science & Surplus : Motors, Blowers and Pumps, also other cheap things on that site like water pumps and things
tubs anywhere really online, they are all pretty much the same price
i found my timers 5$ a pop on ebay. and lights, 150watt hps for 20$ at http://www.e-conolight.com/Product/EProductDetail.asp?ProductFamilyID=7&FGNumber=E-MT6H151G, click link twice.
Anythin else jus ask.

I saw those HPS lamps n thats a pretty good deal, but do they just hook straight up into a house socket or what?? also, what are you doin about the Veg period? u just leavin them under the HPS the whole time??

I would either leave it on the whole time or use cfls. Despite popular belief HPS does a hell of a job with veg growth.
And you have to use a power cord that has the three prong thing. Just a splice job. But for 20 buckaroos. sweet. And nice thread man.
