choosing a mom ? feminized?

i just grew out a ten pack of seeds, kept 4 girls. two went hermie during veg(pre flowers) so i kept the other 2 girls and cloned them . now half of the plants in week #1 of flower are showing male ball saks so tossed them . now i got half my plants left . they look alright so far. i hope they dont go hermie as well or this crop is a disaster Q:1 i think the seeds were bad to begin with cause this has never happend to me until i decided i wanted to try another strain . in that case if those seeds were hermies does it mean all plants coming out of the 10 pack of seeds are all herms? like i mean ya i could have stressed them but in this case i think not, temps got in the 86F range twice, temps were mostly at 79-81 F during veg . hope this ist confusing

Choosing a mother plant. im going to get some seeds and start over. Can i get a mom from FEM seeds? i herd FEM seeds are more likely to herm as well . its either fem or another 10 pack from somewhere else

Who did u order seeds from? Wot strain were they? Well yeah u should b able 2 get a mom offa fem seed, as long as is stays fem, u can get a mom from regular seeds as long as u get a female,also with the right pheno type an traits that u wont. I'm not sure if the 10 pack u bought woz dodgy or if they will go hermie,jus c how they go,. Last yr i bought 10 kc brains-northern lights special, i germed bout 6 an ended up keepin 2 which were female, an they were grown under UK sun, i couldn't beleive how well they grew,.Iz alright if ya got money 2 spend on expensive fem packs,. but if i were u try a cheaper brand and experiment,Good luck

haven't heard anything bad about sannies Killing Fields fem. I'm growing them out now.

kindseed, it was skunk kush @180$ for 10 seeds . seems they came herm ... i herd when making FEM seeds u need to spray Glibbric acid or something on the plants to make 100% FEM seeds . also making it hard to get a mom that wont go herm. is this true ? do ppl use FEM seeds to get their moms?

so in other words when selecting a mother you can use feminized seeds it doesnt matter? cause i like that idea . i just wanna jnow before i go and buy . im getting AK47 or bubble gum

is this just a dumb question lol ? the answer i got somewher else was sprout 10 feminized seeds when selecting a mother . hope this helps someone .

I was hoping to breed my KF too. I dont know if it's not possible or just not reccommmended and I really don't understand. Here's what the breeder of KF said in a recent post "I would always advice my custamors to choose regular if that is possible. Fem seeds are made for growing buds and smoke them. For breeding purposes plants from fem seeds are not usable. When searching for a good clone to work with to fill up the place I would prefer a cut from a regular pheno instead of a fem pheno ! The bud structure is the same as in the regular just as the taste and smell. The feminized version seems to have lots of variaty just as we wanted because we used two different killing fields females to make these fem seeds. I have growed this KF fem for the second time just to see what I am selling my customers and I must admit they are better as I could prodict biggrin.gif I am very very happy with these fem seeds althought I am just not that big fan of fem seeds. Because we are growing for a long time now we also are stucked to some basic priciples (like dont fuck with nature like we do now) and time is learning us to change some point of few and see that if used correct : When used to grow dope this fem seeds are the real deal !"

Of course it can take yearrrrrs to get a stable genetic..

With hermies it can sometimes depend what is causing the hermie n the first place, i.e herm through stress and it will produce good female seeds in theory, hermie through genetics and you are going to get hermie seeds.

So you got the skunk kush from Sensi Seeds?!?! That's wierd I thought they were one of thhe "namebrand" seed company's. I guess it just depends on where you get your seeds. Sannie who is the breeder of KF. Has had hermie problems with other strains and thus took them off his store until he could stabilize them. That makes me feel better about KF. Plus I also heard if the breeder offers more than 5 fem strains to keep away because they're hard to stabilize and the breeder most likely isn't using stable genetics. Sensi has 10 but they've been around awhile.... Sanniesshop.com only has 4 plus tons of positve feedback.So i guess.......Clone Mom=YES Breeding Parent=NO

A feminised seed will give you a guaranteed female plant - no reason why it can´t be a mom.

fem seeds are only more likely to herm if they were made fem by heming if it was done chemically they will be fine.
