This first grow I wanted to do my best to take it easy. Yeah right! I've been doing too much already! Never before did I have such a complete setup and yet forget my roots. A jerry rigged aero cloner light and miracle grow inside a spare bathroom (:

The first set of beans i burnt up, my mix was off...way off and too wet. Chalk that up to experience and lesson learned.

I tried again. LIFTOFF!

Finally got the girls moved into thier new pots. These are repurposed flower containers from big box store, 2 gallon capacity built for early training. The dry amendment approach seems a little slower, or i slowed them down by having them in such a small starter pot. Noted. I have a feeling this change will give them the boost they need. I think they were starved, really light in color.Resized_20240707_191354_1720394307023.jpegResized_20240707_191359_1720394321477.jpeg20240707_191404.jpg I also have some yucca on the way as my wetting agent, wish i could have started with it. There are 6 total, but only the best 2 will make the finale. Yes, they are offset inside the pot for upcoming LST.

The transplant into 2 gallon has made a huge difference in color and growth. They look overall more satisfied. A few of them are stunted I'm sure but they will continue along for R&D and training purposes. I hit em last night with yucca water mixed @1/2 tsp per gallon. Focused more on surrounding soil and not so much watering the plant hoping to get everything drenched with wetting agent. Temps and humidity have been very consistent. Very happy with current status.

Picture from last night. They're not as fluorescent lol

After some research I'll be adding this for preventive measures.

DOSAGE RATE FOR TREATING FUNGUS GNATS:
For light infestations, use: 2.5 – 5ml (.5 – 1 tsp) per gallon.
For heavy infestations, use:
10 – 20ml (2 -4 tsp) per gallon.
If larvae are present in the soil/growth media, apply as a drench sufficiently to wet the surface of the media.
To help prevent infestations, use:
2.5 – 5ml (.5 – 1tsp) per gallon and apply weakly.

Nice setup and some nice looking girls. This your first grow or ya been at it for a minute? Is that a 3 or 4x4? I'm gonna tag along here. I enjoy watching others grow. I sometimes pick up some cool ideas or methods.

Thanks my man, first run post-prohibition ;) this is a 2x4 gorilla grow tent. Only the top two performers will make the final stage. First time with dry amendments so it should be an interesting bit. Hell yeah pull up a chair the show just started. I'm the same, I love journals like you mentioned picking things up from here and there.

@Fatjoe

Yeah man things are getting better. I wasn't gonna bother working another tent, but I kinda felt it was my duty/responsibility to exercise. Love Cleveland, my wife went to school up north. I'm in Southeast Ohio
