clear roots??? some1 please help

so ive had one single lady in my home made areo bin scince the 11-08. im only doing 1 right now to try to learn what im doin.. I am a noob. I know that the roots r supposed to be white as a tee shirt. but mine are clear.. no fish bone like shape either.. the roots are growin long but is the clear color something I should b worried about? can some 1 please give me some direction. my timer 4 the pump is 60sec on then off for 10min. ppm is alil high at 400. im using flora series nutes.. thanks 4 any info!!!!

are the roots thick or thin? what is water temps? please describe your vessel or areo binas well as sprayers, is spray direct or indirect?

My timer is 1 min on 4 min off...
I have 2x 12" air stones inside the root chamber as well.

Not that I have the best grow but if you take a look I have never had root problems. Tons of other problems, lol but not roots.

Key for me is the air stones. Roots love oxygen. I've actually thought about putting kelp or seaweed inside the chamber but I have no idea how that would work and I would much rather not deal with another set of issues. One day though I'll do a test and see if I can make it work. <---I think this is moving towards aquaponics though.
