I am on my first grow and am doing it indoors in my closet, its 2ft x 4ft and i have 2 100watt cfl's for 3 plants. I am just now germinating so its not too late.

are they 6500's?

no theyre 2700's

you should get 6500 for veg.. 2700 for flower

I used 6 6500 for veg it grew 3 feet in 2 months. its now on 7 2700's and is budding like crazy and is about 3.5 feet maybe 4

What your looking for to grow properly is the amount of lumens your plant is receiving. The sun gives about 10,000 lumens per sq. ft. For an inside grow, you want at the BARE MINIMUM 3,000 lumens. About 6,000 to 7,000 is average and will suffice.

CFLs are pretty efficient, giving about 65 lumens per watt depending on your light. 65X200 is 13,000. You said you plants are on a floor about 2ft by 4ft so 8sq ft. 13,000 lumens divided by 8 sq. feet is 1625 lumens per square foot. This is not going to be enough in my opinion. It will suffice for your young plants as they are much less than 1 sq. ft. but I would recommend more for later growth.

Also, Zubey's right, you really should get 6500k lights. The plants just eat them up. In an expiremental grow, I sprouted 2 AK47 seeds under 2700k light and they grew about 3 inches in a week or so, with very little branching (very leggy plants). I then put them under 6500k light and they almost immediately began branching and looked healthier. GO GET SOME 6500KS!!!

wow, well i wasnt planning on switching lights for flower, but after that info i may just have to get some 6500's and postpone starting the grow for a day cause the last thing i want is a leggy plant in a closet. unfortunately only 1 of my 3 seeds has germinated so far but is is the best plant of the 3 so im not hurt(they were bag seeds anyways) hopefully the other two will break open tomo or the next day

check my plant out... this is cloned in early November.. I started 12/12 it about 2.5 weeks ago.. this is a top shot.

at last mesurement, its a little over 3 feet.

yeah .. make sure it says "daylight" on the box.. or just check the lumes.

also you may want to prune..... if you see I did it kinda half assed to mine.. but i'm gonna get like 5-6 cola's out of it.

the other thing too.. unless you plan on cloneing, i'd start flowering it at about a foot or less. with a 4 foot top in your closet trying to flower anytyhing over a foot will exceed 4-5 feet when its all done.

when it was young I pruned it(topped it) clipped the center twice so it would grow outwards. I should have done it one more time but this worked out well. I didn't do anything to it since then.

you want to do it while its young so it has time to grow out

6500ks = good veg lights
2700ks = good flowering lights.

Leggyness can be effected by the amount of usable light they are getting, as they will stretch to get the most light. A 6500k emits more blue usable light plants need to grow big 'n tall, 2700k lights emit the redder spectrum plants use to grow big buds. Also, the distance from the light plays a very big role in leggyness. For the first few days after sprouting, keep the light about 1' away to not stress them out. After that, the light should'nt be more than, say 6 or 8" away. Keep 'em short 'n squat, just as good yeilds in a smaller space (an indoor growers dream).

And good luck broha. Most plants in my experience take about 3 to 7 days to break ground after germination, some can be 1 or 2 days, some up to 12! Never give up! Well unless its been 3 weeks and no sign of life... then give up. lol.
