I posted a message on here earlier & got 1/2 an answer so I need a little more help. This is my 1st clone grow & I'm about to put my 1' clones under a 1000W HPS. From research I realized that you basically skip the Veg stage w/ the MH bulb. So when I put the clones under the hps do I put them on a 18/6 light cycle? Also, do I let them grow to the height I want them to be & then switch to a 12/12 cycle to force flowering? Thanx.

Depending on what you want to do with your clones.Like said most people veg them so they can be bigger before they flower or make mothers out of clones.But you do have people who put clones straight to flower but they put alot in a room or a certain amount every 2 weeks or so for sea of green.The bigger the better so the longer you veg the more bud you will get at the end.

What advantage do you get by keeping your clones in the dark? 24-7 til they sprout legs. Give them a night's rest when they get the legs.
Nothing happens when you keep clones in the dark, except problems with mold, mildew, etc.

Clones root quicker when given dark time.Dark time promotes root growth.
I didn't mean they don't Veg, I just thought you use the HPS to grow them & not the MH. I want to produce big yields as far as indoor goes. So u think I should put the clones under the 1000W MH for 18/6 & then under the 1000W HPS for 12/12? Right now the clones are 1' tall. I know its preference but how long should I keep them under the MH before putting them under the HPS? I have 15 clones plus ALOT of fresh cuttings & two 7'x9' rooms. Any suggestions? Appreciate the feedback fellas.

Why didnt you mention that before.You can flower whenever you want to.You can do a sea of green with the space you have and cuttings you are taking.But thats another subject.
If you want big yeilds you would want to veg till they are big or to your liking because when you flower it will more than likely double in size.

After years of taking clones I found this to be the best and faster method of getting roots. I get roots up to 5 days faster using 16/8 or 18/6.
I can let them get 5'-6' tall. Do u think the best way would be to put them under the MH till they're about 2 1/2 or 3' tall then move them to 12/12 under the HPS? I can always top or bend them if I have to. So its pretty much the same as growing from seed then right? Sorry for sounding ignorant. I did do research on this but I think I came away w/ the wrong idea. I really appreciate the help bro.

because honestly I would do a sea of green and harvest every 2 weeks.You can still acheive the goal you are trying to get within time.You have the lights and space all you need is a couple of mother plants.
But on the other hand you can let them get 2 to 3 ft tall then flower because they will become 4-5 feet.Your yeild should look good being that you are using a 1000 watt that should make some super buds.

My clones are from W.W., W. Rhino, W. Russian, & W.W.x Big Bud. They're all going into flowering now so I don't have a mom plant. I grew them inside till they were about 4'. Right now they're outside & over 7' tall. Should I make 1 of my clones a mom plant? Now if I do a S.O.G. how should I start it? Should I put my 1' clones under the MH now & start my clippings in the Rapid Rooter? Then when my new clones get 1' tall put them under the MH & the older clones under the HPS on 12/12? Then just keep rotating them like that?

I just glimpsed over that thread real quick & ill def read the whole thing tomm. That's the other thong I didn't understand, when I have the mother what light do I keep her under, CFLs, MH, or Hps? Then what do I just keep taking the branches off her so she don't grow to big? Thanx again bro.

Generally, yes, but I do believe that in this context it is misinformation, sir.
Darkness promotes root development when the plant actually has roots. Darkness does increase the speed of plant propagation.

You can use a 150 or 250 mh or hps.Using cfls you will get clones but not as big or quick as it would with a h.i.d.
