cloning clones?

If i have a good tasting plant can i take a clone and then a clone of the clone and so on... Or does the quality degrade? I'm not really trying to grow a full grown mother plant forever and ever so was really wondering..

I have often wondered about if this is true, that cloning clones eventually degrades the genetics.

I have cloned clones of clones for years and never noticed.

Im not any kind of expert but like the guy above me I have always ditched the strain due to boredom.

My opinion is that it shouldn't degrade,
Why would it?

But again I have never ran a 10year experiment.

I say if you like it run it until you dont
 
Ive grown a cut that was about 20 years old

It was worth it because it was a really unique flavored afghani i think.

Any ways it was REALY weak , took forever to clone, and very susceptible to anything lol

But it was great smoke when it survived .

But not worth it to me when there is so much fresh shit to try :)

was it always weak etc or did you get to actually observe the change?

If that did happen over time I wonder if it was simply caused by time
Or maybe over the years chemical treatments actually attacked the dna?

Nope he was an older guy i met that had it from when he started it years ago

Of course the smell and flavor and effect was worth it but they where very weak in every other regard
 
Now I wonder if and how the seeding process circumvents this degradation process?
