Cloning from a Seeded Mother Vs. Cloning from a Cloned Mother

From my experience a clone, vege, bloomed plant from a seeded mother is always stronger, more pungent, and more potent than a clone, vegged, or bloomed plant started from a clone. So...it seems to me that keeping that orginal seeded mom, and taking cuttings from her is essential to keeping your strain at the top of her game. Cuttings taken from a clone will be somewhat inferior to the seeded plant. Not saying it wont be descent. Just a lil/lot under par. Any feedback on this??

It is usually accepted that the clone is an exact copy and will not lost any of its original characteristics. However, down the line (say a few generations later) you MAY lose some genetics, but it's random and up to the strain itself.

Right on! That said...For the srains I hold dear...I personally will keep that big old mom just as long as I can, with a little pruning of course, just to be on the safe side. Da Mendocino Purps for example, which i acquired as a 2nd generation clone(1st generation always being seed) was extremely strong. One plant would overwhelms my GROW..Rght...I took some cuttings, bloomed the mom and that was that. Never the same after THAT HARVEST. ( 3rd generation)THAT HARVEST " DA PURPZ" was extremely potent, sticky, & sweet...yet strong. What a loss. That very first generation though, that seeded plant, which still lives today at four + years old was and is superior to anything cut under it.
