Cloning Gel...Not for human consumption?

i have a bottle of clonex gel and the back of the bottle says not for human consumption. my growing book mentions in the cloning tutorial section that you should always use a powder/gel that is intended for human consumption.

we're not eating the marijuana, and even if we were, would this rooting gel really effect the product and make it inedible?

Try going organic. If you're gonna put a bunch of chemicals in your herb you should just go to the pharmacy and poison yourself the old fashioned way... With pills.

it's an acid... chances are it's safe to eat but you throw up or have heart burn... and no i wouldn't intentionally go smoking the shit, but after 4 months of vedging and flowering you aint gonna tell .

hmmm. well, now i don't know what to do. i ordered this off amazon, and have it ready to go...http://www.amazon.com/Clonex-CLO100-Rooting-Compound-100ML/dp/B004Q3NN4W/ref=dp_cp_ob_ol_title_1

are you guys telling me that a little dab of this stuff on the base of the cutting is going to continue giving chemicals into the plant, all the way up to the final harvest day? i can understand it in ways, because the root system the product is helping along is the system that brings all food and water into the plant. so if toxic chemicals are helping to create this system, i can see why the plant would be somewhat affected. but, i mean, then why do they sell these products like this? would it be the same if i wanted to use this cloning gel for cloning tomatoes?

i can spend another ten dollars and get an organic gel or powder, it's not a huge deal. but i did spend $20 on this clonex gel and i'd like to use it, obviously, since i already bought it and will have no use for it now if it's not used.

you dont need root hormone to clone a plant, jut do it the granny method, use a little bit of nutes in water,

Currently switching from powder to Clonex gel, if I suddenly get any health problems by the plants being started out with Clonex, I'll let you guys know.

Hi Follow. I wouldn't worry about it too much mate because you only use a minute amount anyway and as you said it's got to veg for a while and also don't forget you are going to be putting plenty of water on your girls that will wash Most of it away as well... so in the end how much will be left ? I would guess not much and Nothing that you could see or taste...
That's just my opinion but if anyone else has more info to help you out ?

P.s. my cloning gel says the same but was all i could get so i'm sticking with it for the time being. 5 Clones and all is well so far. ;-)

do you realize how insignifigant the amount of that will be by the time you have buds??? your not supposed to eat your nutes either yet we all smoke the hell outa them...dont worry bout it and use it.or send it to me ill use it lol

who uses cloning gel! its called Bottled water, A clean razor and a tupperware to slice it in. Cloning at its best

Use the clonex.

I've been using it since 1991 and no problems. The active ingredient occurs naturally, just not in that concentration.

It says not for human consumption so some chuckle head doesn't try drinking some I guess. Would likely make you sick to your stomach, but I doubt it would kill you.

I've also used it to clone tomatoes and peppers, no problems. A thin coating on a cut to begin with, after rooting, vegging and flowering, it's just not there. It's also water soluble BTW.
