I'm thinking of taking clones off my mothers in a few weeks and want to know all the things i need to clone?bongsmilie
 
you should just use the search engine and read up. RIU has alot of info. but basically all you need to do is cut 2-3 nodes down from the tip of the branch you want to use as a clone. then you dip the stem in some superthrive or any good rooting product. stick the clone into a cube. set the cube onto tray then put it under some cfls for a few days to let it root before transplanting into soil or watever medium. all the while keeping humidity up and tempertures around 80F degrees
 
A big drink glass from McD, Gorilla Taped (or duct tape) completely to block all light. Lid too but leave a hole for your clone. Fill with plain chlorinated tap water. Insert clone. Place in light and wait. That's it. No more expensive stuff is needed. When roots form take scissors and cut across lid to free her. I take a bunch of extra lids when I buy my drink! Forget all that BS above.

I hate when people try to complicate cloning.

Theres like four steps. If it doesn't root, the conditions were not right. Make your cut, dip in hormone (optional) and plant. Wait about 10 days.
 
make a clean cut with a sharp clean knife or scalpel. dip in rooting hormone. place in damp medium. supply a small amount of light.
 
The small amount of light would be 60 or 100w? i think im going to try 7 clones so 2 can fail (i have a 5 plant space)

My guess is they all will not. Those asking such questions and receiving such advice they are willing to follow will find shriveled stems and dead leaves in many attempts. Be an adult and accept some will die and you will learn. This isn't "Barney". Then they listen and KISS! The water cup method developed by people generations ago begins to appeal to those tired of complicated bullshit.
