I need some expert advise. Would really really appreciate someone with some knowledge about closed loop systems to chime in.
I’ve been open blasting for a few years. About 90% of the time I run 2 ozs and the other times I run 3 +. All personal.
I’m putting together a closed loop system where I can do mostly 2oz runs with the option to easily configure it to go to 3-4 ozs.
Here is what I have. One tube is 8” and the other 18”. And a few other pcs I can use.
And here is what I want to build. SOMEWHAT.
Here is my idea. Since I do most of my runs with the 8” tube, I want to gear it towards that with one simple addition to run the 18” if I choose.
My idea io buy the 6”x6” welded base for the solvent side.
The collection side will have a 4”x4” spool and a 4” splatter platter to run the 2 ozs.
Then, for me to run the 18” tube, all I have to do is buy another 4”x4” spool for the collection side. This would give me 10”x4” on the collection side and 6”x6” on the solvent side.
Does this make sense? More importantly, will it work?
Parts list to follow. Thanks in advance.
